Because 'oda' and 'gada' belong to the deictic category, if foreign student wants to express a movement eventin Korean, he has to understand in which context 'oda' or 'gada' can be used. So we set up two kinds of context constituents concerning to the selection of 'oda' and 'gada'; intra-movement event context constituents and extra-movement event context constituents. Intra-movement event context constituents include (1) subject of moving, (2) goal of moving, (3) time of moving. Extra-movement event context constituents include (1) place of the speaker when describing the movement event, (2) place of the viewpoint of describing the movement event. We tried to describe the usage of 'oda' and 'gada' by means of the combination of these context constituents.
