The paradigm of policy approach of urban problem along with the progress of urbanization has experienced the shift of paradigm from the temporary development of assets to the regeneration of sustainable community. Instead of civil engineering and construction, which were the effective means of urban policy for physical environmental development, community art takes an attraction as cultural and artistic exploration for the vision of urban policy focusing on the regeneration of social condition.This study aims to study a model of community art that is the realistic practice of culture and art, the media of sustainable community regeneration which was dramatically taking attention since the late 1990s. For this purpose, it examined the paradigm shift of urban policy along with the urbanization and investigated the community art for value change of community via culture and art that a new urban policy paradigm focuses. It was followed by the review of the UK’s representative community art project entitled Our Generation by an artistic group ‘Magic Me’, which is regarded as a positive model for sustainable community regeneration artistic program.With such examination, this study would like to raise any necessary suggestions of the need of re-awareness in the relation between abstract and retrospective community concept and the importance of companion setting for the community art to be a media of sustainable community regeneration.
