Social worker is a social work counseling profession whose major job is counseling for people who need social service in social work theory or social work law. In addition, since the Flexner syndrome of 1915 in the history of social welfare development, emphasis has been placed on case work using psychiatry and psychological theories in order to strengthen the professionalism of social welfare practice. However, at present, there is not much research accumulation on social work counseling both theoretically and practically, both at home and abroad. From this point of view, this study establishes the theoretical and practical identity of social work counseling, and establishes a four - level model of social work counseling practice stage by applying the integrative eclectic psychological counseling theory and techniques. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to establish a theoretical and practical identity of social work counseling, and to set up a four - level model of social work counseling practice stage by applying integrative eclectic psychological counseling theory and skills. And to present the theories and skills of social work counseling that can be applied according to detailed levels of practice. As a result of the research, the attention stage and listening, re - statement, encouragement, question, empathy and reflection technique in human centered theory can be applied in facilitating exploration as the first level. In the second level of facilitating insight, the challenge and confrontation, immediacy, self-disclose, clarification, and interpretation skill in psychodynamic theory can be applied. In the third level of facilitating action, information provision, advisement, directives, cognitive restruction, systematic desensitization and relaxation training in cognitive-behavioral theory can be applied. In the fourth level of facilitating maintenance, non-directed motivation, directional motivation, advocacy and self-assertion, competence strengthening and empowerment skills can be applied in motivation interviewing and capacity building theory. The results of this study are theoretical and practical implications that can contribute to the improvement of competence of professional social work counseling skill as a integrative eclectic social work counseling skill that is appropriate for the identity of social work counseling with differentiation from general psychological counseling.
