As the national image is recognized as an important factor to contribute to the substantial competitiveness and the symbolic values of a nation. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors to make a national image of Korea, from Japanese, Chinese, or other Asian point of view, and the factors to make their intention to participate in the events of Korea in order to present the basis for the policy of promoting the event industry in consideration of Korea's efficient overseas marketing strategy and the external image.The result of this empirical study, which generates a proof from given hypotheses, reveled that there is not much difference between the cognitive image and the intention to participate in the events of Korea from Chinese or other Asian people and those from Japanese. Based on the result, the strategy that matches our country image should be developed by analyzing the intention to participate in various types of events, so that the foreigner participants can revisit and visit Korea with their relatives and friends.Finally, we hope that this study will contribute to holding regular events that represent our country and to presenting the basis of the policy of promoting event industry.
