This study used raw data of Korea Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled (2017) constructed by the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled to investigate the effect of individual, occupational and psychological characteristics of disabled workers on the economic preparations for their old age. This study was conducted targeting 430 persons out of 1,624 salaried workers who answered the questions on the economic preparations for old age. As a result of analysis, First, disabled workers’economic preparations for old age according to their individual characteristics differed by education level, disability rating and overall health condition. Second, as for disabled workers’economic preparations for old age according to the occupational characteristics, there was a difference depending on whether or not they are in a full-time position, stability of working environment, monthly average salary and occupational motivation. Third, economic preparations for old age according to disabled workers’experience of discrimination against disabilities differed by the acceptance of disabilities. Fourth, with respect to individual, occupational and psychological characteristics of disabled workers on the economic preparations for old age, acceptance of disabilities, whether or not they are in a full-time position, job characteristics, experience of discrimination against disabilities and disability type were confirmed as significant influence factors.
