The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of goldberg machines program using energy concept on the task commitment and creative problem solving ability of elementary school students. For this purpose, 24 elementary school students in the 6th grade were surveyed and the pre - and post - test results were analyzed. The results of this study were as follows. First, the goldberg machines program using energy concept was effective in improving elementary school students' task commitment. Second, the goldberg machines program using energy concept was effective in enhancing elementary school students' creative problem solving ability. Third, the elementary school students' response to the goldberg machines program using energy concept was very positive. Analysis of interviews with students revealed that the program had a positive effect on elementary school students, such as being useful in acquiring scientific knowledge and promoting interest and curiosity in science. The goldberg machines program using energy concept as described above was effective in improving elementary school students' task commitment, contributing to the development of creative problem solving ability, and positively influencing change in perception of science.
