In addition, scientific social survey activities came activated, and subsequently evolved a welfare state. Second, the welfare system in the United States of America had long depended at its early stage upon social welfare facilities based on the principle of non-interference. Fifth, the Yi Dynasty period enacted Hyangak to promote virtue and reprove vice, actively developing community work for mutual dependence. Sixth, in the Japanese rule period and the American military administration period relief activities for the people were actively carried out on the basis of the Chosun Relief Ordinance and the Military Administration Ordinance. Seventh, after the establishment of the government, varieties of social systems and social work were develped.
