We have already been living in information society. Information revolution is urging almost every part of social organizations to change fundamently and rapidly. Therefore, some kind or some degree of changes must be tried in educational systems to seek for some ways to guarantee a new development. 21st century is the age of information. The tide of changes demands a new paradigm and leads to knowledge-based society. As a result, developing each students' talent and creative ability gets more and ore important. Education information system should be changed to prepare for the information age. Educational information System should promote the effect of learning, strengthen people's information ability, and support proliferating information mind. In this study, through examining the circumstances of educational information and the reality of information system in schools, I tried to show and estimate the problems synthetically. Furthermore, I tried to present the 21st century's vision of educational information system and the way to activate the system in junior high schools, whose conditions are the most belated in our country. As the method of study, I asked the teachers in Kyonggi Province to answer some questionnaires about the computer users' circumstance, informational education circumstance and the whole computer-aided information system in their schools; and with SPSSWIN 8.0 program I analyzed the data to find the fact and the problem. The result of this analysis is as followings : Firstly, we should make educational environment suitable for the information age. Secondly, we need to re-examine the teacher training systems. Thirdly, we need an information management center to develop, distribute, inform, and advertise various softwares for teaching and learning. Fourth, we should change school systems into the one which can cope with the information age. Fifth, we need to reinforce the personnels to undertake the informational tasks of administrative organs and schools. Sixth, the system of school information needs to be rearranged. Seventh, Teachers should be able to get incentives to developing new incentives. Eighth, we should have much more channels to supply more informational Hardwares via donation of nongovernment organizations and major companies as well as the government. Ninth, the government should keep on supplying administrative and financial supports. The only alternative to precede in the information age is to integrate all the 4 factors such as the computer schooling for teachers, reforming the school curriculums, major companies' aid for foundation of computer network of schools, and the government's administrative support to provide various informations. The education for information society cannot be achieved by only computer schooling. In this study, I tried to seek for the way to activate the educational information in junior high schools but, of course, it is not completed. I hope what is not completed or dealt with in this study can be examined in the near future.
