The result of the christian group counseling is as follows; In the popular-sociological character of the object of the study, firstly, the result shows that self-esteem, in the sexual differences, of the male students and that of the female have no meaning statistically, that even though the degree of satisfaction to school life is increased in proportion to self-esteem, there is no meaning statistically, and that self-esteem, in terms of friendship, is also grown in direct proportion to the number of friends. In addition, according to the result of a pre-test what the inclinations toward christian faith could influence self-esteem, the degrees of self-esteem are decreased along with the order below: the group A convinced of the salvation with regular church attendance, the group D having negative perspective to the faith as non-christian, group C having an affirmative attitude toward christian faith as on-christian, and the group B not convinced of the salvation with regular attendance. After all, the result reveals that the more faithful christians have higher self-esteem, that the non-christian students are inclined strongly to depend on themselves, and that those has not been convinced of their salvation even with constant church attendance marked the lowest level of self-esteem. As the result, it became known that christian group counseling is needed for them. Secondly, according to the post-examination on self-esteem on the next day after practicing christian group counseling nine times so as to search into the effect on the self-esteems of the high school students classified by the inclination toward christian faith, self-esteems are increased in consecutive order as follows: the group B’s students who do not believe the salvation even with regular services, the group D’s students who are the non-christians adhering to negative standpoint toward Christian faith, the group C’s students who have positive attitude toward christian belief as non-christian, and the group A’s students who believe their salvation with regular church attendance. Also, from the fact that the group B’s students who have the lowest self-esteem not convinced of the salvation with regular attendance is the second improved group, it appeals strongly the necessity of christian counseling by means of concern and love so as to establish firm belief of christian students. In addition, from the fact that the group A’s students who are convinced of the salvation with regular attendance showed improved result, it becomes obvious that all the christian students are also needed christian counseling. Lastly, from the fact that non-christians who have negative perspective toward christian belief showed betterment of their self-esteem, though it was the least improved level, the fact is also ascertained that christian counseling should practice any non-christians in season and out of season. A sense of self and self-esteem formed in adolescence are the very keys that decide youth’s future. If youth who has raised with deformed self-image and low self-esteem due to the exam-oriented education system and uncultured human nature, could recover the pride as son and daughter of God and grown up as servant for neighbors and country accepting God’s love and grace by christian counseling, it would be much expectable that there are hopes for them and country in the future with achievement of christian education for the whole man.
