본 연구의 결과는 chronopotentiomety (CP), energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX), a.c. impedance, sanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray Diffraction(XRD) 측정 장비를 사용하여 수행하였다.

The Li ion battery is highly promising as a rechargeable battery due to its remarkable features such as the high discharging voltage of near 4 V, the excellent specific energy density. Lithium ion batteries are becoming the power sources of choice for modern consumer electronics devices. The mainstream of the research in the Li ion battery has focused on the development of electrode active materials and electrolytes. Carbon anode is widely used in lithium ion batteries. Theoretical capacity of carbon anode has 372mAh/g in LiC6 structure and has lower power density than Li metal which has 3600mAh/g. Lithium storage capacities of metals such as Al, Ag, Sn, Pb, Sb, Bi, etc have better than ones of carbonaceous materials. Recently Li-Metal alloy has been investigated as anode of lithium-ion battery due to their high capacity. Metals of ⅢB and ⅣB group were studied as inorganic anode material. From results of investigations, Tin Oxide was showed the best performance. However, Tin Oxide as an anode was faced with volume expansion of two or three times during the process of alloying with Li. This volume expansion caused the cracking or crumbling of electrode. The cracking or crumbling decreases conductivity and increases internal resistance of electrode. Consequently the electrode shows poor cycleability. The purpose of this study is to develop the optimized anode material by combining the element SnO2 of high lithium storage capacity and the stable cycleability of Nickel. Anode powder manufacture was chemically synthesis for sol-gel method. Tin Oxide particles were dispersed efficiently on nickel oxide surface, which could prevent aggregation of Tin particles. As a result of it, the electrochemical activity and conductivity of electrode towards intercalation/deintercalation of the lithium ion were improved, and the lithium storage capacity was higher. The results of this study were obtained by chronopotentiometry(CP), a,c. impedance, Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDXS), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), and X-ray Diffraction(XRD).
