The world has already been in the trend of immigration. In the situation in which Korea cannot go against such a trend, the emergence of multi-cultural society is a natural consequence. In such multi-cultural society, it can be said that accepting multi-cultures is important to live in right multi-culture society. Ahead of the social change, presenting the research direction for the multicultural acceptability necessary to live in multi-cultural society is of significance. Accordingly, the research study analyzed and investigated the research direction for accepting multi-cultures in the nation, from 2008 until 2017, classifying the multicultural acceptability as five standards: year, academic degree, research subjects, research themes, and researchers' academic major areas, regarding the multicultural acceptability.
The analytic results of research studies according to the five standards classified are as follows.
First, the analytic research findings of the current status of research studies according to each year reveal that the number of research studies about the multicultural acceptability has been increased as a whole, since 2013. Five-year researches conducted since 2013 have assumed the great ratio of total researches.
Second, the analytic research findings of the current status of research studies according to academic degree reveal master's degree thesis conducted a great deal of research compared with doctoral degree thesis did. Doctoral degree thesis lacked.
Third, the analytic research findings of the current status of research studies according to research subjects show that research studies targeting middle and high school students, undergraduates including elementary school students took up the great ratio. Few researches targeting teachers, that is, education providers, were being conducted, and general adults accounted for the higher rate in a precent study, but still lacked.
