This study is emphasizing that a nurse resource management, which has about fifty-percent of hospital resource, is very important factor for a hospital management, therefore, a nurses’ turnover rate is highlighted to a hospital administrator. A shortage of nurse and their high turnover rate are one of main social interests in a medical community. Thus, this study verifies a reason for their leaving and a turnover tendency per years, furthermore, it examines an effect of personal factor and related with work factor on their turnover. To summarize it, the result of study is as follows. Five hundred twenty seven nurses have left out of eight hundred forty, thus, it means that total turnover rate has sixty two point seven percent. According to the reasons for their leaving, the most highest ratio is a ‘personal reason’ and it accounts for thirty seven point eight percentage as one hundred ninety nine cases. For next, a ‘related with work’ factor has the second highest ratio and it accounts for thirty three point four percentage as one hundred seventy six cases. Then, a ‘turnover to other hospital and changing careers’ has the third highest ratio and it accounts for twenty three point five percentage as one hundred twenty four cases. At last, it accounts for five point three percentage as just twenty eight cases due to a ‘relationship problem’. They has been changed following to hours. According to the personal factor affecting on the nurses’turnover, the nurse, who has experienced about a sick leave, leave of absence, marriage, and child birth, has a low turnover rate compared to the nurse who has not experienced before. Also, the nurse, who has experienced turnover before starting a new job, has a high turnover rate compared to the nurse who has not experienced before. In regard with the related with work, the nurse who takes about ten minutes for their commuting has a less turnover rate compared to the nurse who takes more than ten minutes and even one hour. In addition, the nurse who has experienced a department transfer has a high turnover rate than the nurse who has not experienced a department transfer. When they are starting their career with high points by the head of department, they have a less turnover rate. According to a department arrangement, the nurse working in a special department has a low turnover rate than the nurse working in a ward, however, the nurse working in a special department and an outpatient department has a less turnover rate than the nurse working in a ward as a final department arrangement. As well, the nurse working in two shifts when they are starting their work has a low turnover rate than the nurse working in three shifts. As a final department arrangement, the nurse working in two shifts, regular, and exclusive charged has a low turnover rate than the nurse working in three shifts. However, there is no significant result from gender, BMI(Body Mass Index), school location they are from, and their highest education level. As a result, there are many previous study about nurses’ intention related with their turnover, however, it is hard to find a study out about the influencing factor to an actual turnover and also there is a significant limit to compare it among the results. Because each hospital has their own working atmosphere and there are many difference in the nurses’ reasons for leaving, an actual comparative analysis is necessary through various approaches.
