Among the spectral characteristics, the water system has the same spectral, so it is difficult to subdivide into rivers, reservoirs, and dams. Therefore, this study subdivided water systems using remote sensing and GIS to manage water resources efficiently. The watersheds were classified into images using the maximum likelihood classification method, which is one of the supervised classifications, and the river flow and the maximum likelihood classification method were subdivided into rivers and reservoirs using GIS to subdivide the watersheds with the same spectral characteristics. After subdividing the water system, the following results were obtained by comparing and analyzing the error matrix to evaluate the accuracy of the land cover provided by environmental spatial information service. First, the digital elevation model was created using the digital map (1:5000) and the stream flow was extracted by GIS. And when classifying water systems in Kompsat-3A high performance and high resolution satellite images, we trained them to improve the accuracy of the classification results and then extracted them using the maximum likelihood classification method, which is one of the supervised classifications. Because water systems have the same spectral characteristics, it is difficult to subdivide them. As a result of classifying objects using GIS, it was possible to subdivide water systems. Second, the area and accuracy of land cover maps were calculated by classifying streams and reservoirs using the maximum likelihood classification method. The total area of ??the images was 190,096,412, 36,543,344 rivers in the land cover map, 34,116,637 rivers classified by the maximum likelihood classification method, and 39,785 in the area classified by 45,943 and the maximum likelihood classification method. Third, as a result of calculating the error matrix of rivers and reservoirs using 100 random points in the images classified by the maximum likelihood classification method, rivers are 97.50% of rivers and 95.00% of other rivers. The reservoir was 87.76% for the reservoir and 92.15% for the other, with an overall accuracy of 90.00%. The Kappa coefficient was calculated using this, and the river was 0.91 and the reservoir was 0.80. In this study, we conducted research using around 190 images of Okcheon, Chungcheongbuk-do. If we classify water systems using high-performance and high-resolution satellite images and GIS, we can update geographic information in a wider area more quickly than existing classification methods. It is judged that it is useful for management of sewage treatment facility as well as completion, dimensions. In addition, since the shooting time of the image is May, there is an error that the paddy field is filled with water, which is classified as a reservoir, so further research is needed using the image of the fallow land for more accurate classification.
