해양생태계 구성요소 간의 물질순환의 매개체 역할의 예는 무엇인가? | 이 때 물리작용을 중요하게 고려한 이유는 해양생태계 구성요소 간의 물질순환의 매개체 역할을 하기 때문이다. 예를 들면, 일차생산에 필요한 영양염의 전달은 해수의 확산(diffusion), 용승(upwelling), 난류 혼합(turbulence mixing)과같은 물리적 과정을 통해 이루어지며, 해양생태계에서 순환되지 않고 남아 있는 물질이 생태계를 빠져나가는 과정 역시 침강(sinking)과 같은 물리적인 요인이다. 또한 온도가 10 oC 증가하면 대사활동이 약 2배 증가한다는 Q10 법칙에 따르면 생물학적 대사 반응을 체내온도의 함수로 나타낼 수 있는데(Epply [1972]), 변온성 생물이 대부분인 해양 생물의 경우 생물체를 둘러 싸고 있는 매질, 즉 해수의 온도에 의해 체온이 결정된다. 수온은 해수 혼합과 같은 물리작용의 원인 및 결과가 되기 때문에 물리적 과정이 생물반응에서 중요하게 고려될 수 있는 것이다. |
