근로자 건강수준을 비교하는데 있어 주관적 건강수준이 적절성이 높다고 보는 이유는? | 사회적 차별로 인한 부정적 정서 상태가 원인이 되어 신체활동의 감소, 약물이나 음주 이용, 과식, 수면 장애 등 건강 위해 요인이 가중될 수 있다는 것이다(Williams, Neighbors, & Jackson, 2003). 같은 일을 하고 있지만 대기업 근로자에 비해 보수와 복지 면에서 현저히 낮은 대우를 받고 있어 직업 안전성(job security) 또한 낮다는 것을 고려할 때 중소기업 근로자들이 느끼는 차별감이 상당할 수 있으며 이는 건강수준에 간접적으로 영향을 미칠수 있다(Landsbergis, Grzywacz, & LaMontagne, 2014). 따라서 주관적 건강수준은 우리나라 근로자 건강수준을 비교하는데 있어 유병률이나 사망률에 비해 그 적절성이 높다고 볼 수 있다. | |
