1차대사산물은 무엇인가? 한약은 식물성, 동물성 그리고 광물성으로 크게 구분 되지만 일반적으로 사람에게 사용되는 한약은 대부분 식물성 한약이다. 생체를 구성하는 4대 거대분자인 당, 단백질과 핵산을 비롯하여 지질을 1차대사산물이라고 한다. 반면에 식물에서 1 차대사산물로부터 새롭게 합 성되어 생리적 기능을 수행하는 물질을 2차대사산물 또는 식물성천연화학물질(phytochemicals)이라고 한다1).
식물성천연화학 물질은 의약품, 항생제 등의 개발을 위해 광범위하게 이루어져 왔고 특히 오랜 기간을 걸쳐 이용된 한방 처방에 있어서 약효의 기본적 근원이되는 이유는? 반면에 식물에서 1 차대사산물로부터 새롭게 합 성되어 생리적 기능을 수행하는 물질을 2차대사산물 또는 식물성천연화학물질(phytochemicals)이라고 한다1). 대부분의 식물성천연화학물질은 식물이 자외선과 외부 환경에 대항하여 자신을 보호하려는 목적에서 생 성하는 물질이다. 이러한 특성 때문에 식물성천연화학 물질은 의약품, 항생제 등의 개발을 위해 광범위하게 이루어져 왔고 특히 오랜 기간을 걸쳐 이용된 한방 처방에 있어서 약효의 기본적 근원이 된다.
