멸종위기야생식물 Ⅰ급 9종은 어떻게 규정하는가? | 환경부에서는 2012년 5월 야생동·식물 보호법의 시행규칙 개정을 통해 ‘자연적 또는 인위적 위협요인으로 개체수가 현저하게 감소되어 멸종위기에 처한 야생동식물’인 멸종위기야생식물 Ⅰ급 9종과 ‘자연적 또는 인위적 위협요인으로 개체수가 현저하게 감소되고 있어 현재의 위협요인이 제거되거나 완화되지 아니할 경우 가까운 장래에 멸종위기에 처할 우려가 있는 야생동식물’인 멸종위기야생식물 Ⅱ급 68종을 지정하였다(Ministry of Environment, 2012). 멸종위기야생식물 Ⅰ급과 Ⅱ급을 합쳐 총 77종은 합법적인 허가 없이 인위적인 채취, 보관, 훼손이 제한되며 국가적인 수준에서의 보전활동의 대상이다(Ministry of Environment, 2012). |
