본 연구에서 선정한 아웃도어 브랜드에 빈폴 아웃도어를 추가하고자 한 이유는 무엇인가? 그리고 브랜드는 여론조사 전문기관인 리얼미터와 SBS CNBC가 공동으로 조사한 일반 소비자의 인지도 · 선호도 · 만족도를 종합하여 평가된 상위 10개 아웃도어 브랜드인 노스페이스(The northface), 코오롱스포츠, 네파(Nepa), 블랙야크(Black-yak), 컬럼비아(Columbia), 라푸마(Lafuma), 밀레(Millet), 몽벨(Montbell),레드페이스(The red face), K2를 선정한다(Do, 2014). 그리고 빈폴 아웃도어(Bean pole outdoor)를 추가하고자 하는데, 그 이유는 2012년 런칭 이후 그 해 매출 380억 원을 달성하면서 아웃도어 웨어 시장의 다크호스로 떠오르고 있기 때문이다(Moon, 2014). 이미지 분류는 패션 이미지 관련 선행연구를 근거로 하여, 부경대학교 패션디자인학과 석·박사과정 대학원생과 패션디자인학과 교수 및 강사를 포함한 8인의 전문가 집단에 의해 실시되었다.
