간호사의 정신 건강에 영향을 준 해외의 감염병 대유행 사례는? | 감염병 대유행 시 간호사는 높은 수준의 스트레스, 감염 위험 및 안전에 대한 위협, 소진을 경험하는 것으로 보고되고 있는데, 2003년 타이완에서 Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) 대유행 당시 환자간호에 참여한 간호사는 의료진 중 가장 높은 수준의 스트레스를 경험하는 것으로 나타났다[6]. 또한 사우디아라비아 에서 메르스 감염사례가 보고된 대표적인 3개의 의료기 관에 종사하는 1,031명의 보건의료종사자 중 70.4%가 직장에서 메르스에 감염될 위험이 있다고 응답하였으며, 87.8%가 직장이 안전하지 않다고 느끼는 것으로 나타났다[7]. 우리나라에서 메르스 집중치료병원 간호사의 경우, 감염병에 대한 정보, 관리 및 지원 부족을 인식하고 있었으며[8], 메르스 감염 환자 치료 병원 15곳에서 근무한 응급실 간호사의 소진은 직무 스트레스, 메르스 치료에 대한 병원의 불충분한 자원, 가족 및 친구들의 지지 부족에 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다[9]. |
