AD에서 이러한 면역학적 기전들은 잘 밝혀져 있으나, AD가 전신적인 염증에 의해 장벽기능저하를 초래하는 것인지 (“inside-out”가설) 혹은 표피피부장벽손상이 면역학적 불균형을 초래하는 것인지 (“outside-in”가설) 여부는 아직까지 논란이 되고 있다2).
음식물 알레르기란? 음식물 알레르기(Food Allergy, 이하 FA)란 건강한 사람들에게 무해한 음식에 대하여 비정상적인 면역반응이 일어나는 것으로 소화기, 피부, 호흡기, 심혈관계 등의 표적 장기에 따라 다양한 증상을 나타내는 비교적 흔한 알레르기 질환이다. 즉시형 FA의 유병률은 2-3%이며, 두드러기, 아나필락시스, 구강 알레르기 증후군 등의 lgE-매개성과 식품 단백질에 의한 장염, Celiac병 등의 lgE-비매개성 반응으로 나뉜다.
