제안 방법
국민건강영양조사의 건강설문 조사부문 설문지의 인구사회학적 특성, 건강상태, 정신건강, 삶의 질과 관련된 문항을 이용하였다.
대상 데이터
본 연구는 2014년 총 3,156가구의 만 1세 이상 전체 가구원 7,550명을 대상으로 실시된 제6기 2차년도 국민 건강영양조사 원시자료를 이용하였으며, 조사 내용은 건강설문조사, 검진조사, 영양조사이다. 국민건강 영양조사의 목표 모집단은 우리나라에 거주하고 있는 국민으로서 표본추출 방법은 조사구 및 가구를 1,2차 추출단위로 하는 2단계 층화집락 표본추출 방법을 적용하였고, 제6기(2013-2015)의 경우 시도, 동․읍면, 주택유형(일반주택, 아파트)을 기준으로 추출틀을 층화하고 주거면적 비율, 가구주 학력 비율 등을 내재적 층화 기준으로 사용 하였다.

이론/모형
삶의 질을 조사하기 위해 EQ-5D index를 사용하였다. EQ-5D index는 운동능력, 자기관리, 일상활동, 불안/우울에 대해 조사 당일 대상자의 건강상태를 가장 잘 설명해주는 항목에 응답한 결과를 기초로 생성된 변수이다.
성능/효과
대상자의 인구사회학적 특성, 건강상태와 정신건강에 따른 삶의 질 차이를 확인한 결과 대부분의 변수들에서 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다(Table 2).
본 연구 대상자의 삶의 질은 2007년부터 2011년까지 국민건강영양조사를 중심으로 성인 암환자의 인구사회학적 특성별 건강관련 삶의 질 평균 0.861[17] 보다 높은 결과를, 같은 연구에서 정상집단의 0.941 보다 낮은 결과를 나타냈다. 선행연구에서 암환자의 경우 삶의 질이 일반인에 비해 낮게 나타나는 것으로 보고되고 있고[14] 암 종별과 무관하게 치료나 재활과정이 경제적으로 혹은 사회 심리적으로 많은 고통이 수반되는 과정이며[17], 암을 치료한 후에도 불편감이 지속되어 일상활동 및 자기관리에 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있다.
