유산이란 무엇인가? 유산이란 태아가 모체 밖에서 생존할 능력을 갖기 전인 제태기간 20주 이전에 임신이 종결된 것을 말하며 자연적으로 유산이 일어나는 경우를 자연유산(miscarriage)이라 하고 의도적으로 유산시키는 경우를 흔히 유발유산(induced abortion) 또는 낙태라고 한다. 한국보건사회연구원의 ‘전국 출산력 및 가족보건, 복지실태조사’에 따르면 한국의 15~44세 유배우 여성에서 총 임신은 2000년 및 2003년 조사에서 평균 2.
