지구의 기후변화 전망은 어떤 상황인가? | 기후변화에 관한 정부간 협의체(IPCC, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change)는 지난 133년(1880~2012)간 지구의 평균기온이 0.85℃(0.65~1.06℃)상승하였고, 현재의 온실가스 배출추세(RCP8.5)를 유지할 경우 2100년 지구 평균기온은 현재보다 3.7℃(2.6~4.8℃) 상승할 것으로 전망하고 있다(IPCC 2013). 한반도의 경우 21세기 후반의 기온은 약 4.6℃ 증가할 것이며, 그 상승폭은 고위도일수록 가파르게 증가할 것으로 보인다(Ahn et al. 2014). 이러한 기후변화에 따른 생태계 및 생육지에 대한 영향은 증가할 것이며(IPCC 2007), 생태계의 피해를 최소한으로 하기 위한 적응방안 마련을 위하여, 그 영향의 정도를 평가하고 파악하는 것이 중요한 과제로 부각되고 있다(IPCC 2001). |
