대사증후군 대상자의 일반적 특성이 연구마다 다른 이유는? | 그러나 2000년대 초반에 진행된 선행 연구들[23,24]에서는 대사증후군이 있는 집단이 정상인 집단과 비교하여 시골에 거주하고, 교육수준이 낮으며, 가구당 수입이 적고, 음주나 흡연을 많이 하는 것으로 나타나 부분적으로 일치하였다. 이렇게 대사증후군 대상자의 일반적 특성이 연구마다 다른 것은 최근에 진행된 연구들에서 나타나는 현상으로 첫째, 사회가 변화하며 대사증후군이 다양한 요인의 영향을 받고 둘째, 건강에 관한 사회적 관심이 증가하며 건강한 사람이나 대사증후군이 있는 사람 모두 절주 등의 건강증진 행위를 실천하기 때문이라 생각된다. 따라서 대사증후군 예방 및 관리를 위한 교육은 모든 대상자에게 동일한 교육 자료를 이용하여 획일적으로 제공하기 보다는, 변화된 연구결과와 사회적 트랜드를 반영하여 교육 대상자의 일반적 특성을 고려한 대상자 맞춤형 교육의 형태로 제공되어야 할 것이다. | |
