Purpose: This exploratory study aims to identify the influence of clinical practice belonging, satisfaction with major, and work values on the level of career identity among nursing students. Methods: The subjects of this study are 251 senior students from three nursing departments located in a metropolitan city. Using SPSS 22.0, the study uses technical statistics, t-test, One-way ANOVA, correlation, and multiple regression analysis. Results: The average scores for clinical practice belonging, satisfaction with major, and work values were 3.61, 3.87, and 3.70 out of 5.00, respectively, and 2.85 out of 4.00 for career identity. The factors affecting students' career identity were clinical practice belonging, aptitude, satisfaction with clinical practice, satisfaction with major, indoor work, service and employment at hospitals with 40 percent being explained by these variables. Conclusion: Through this study we found that clinical practice belonging has the greatest impact on career identity. In order to enhance clinical practice belonging, universities and clinical institutions need to develop new programs and curricula.

대상 데이터

15, 설명변수 15개 일 때 필요한 표본 크기는 220명이었고, 응답률을 고려하여 260명을 대상으로 설문지를 배부하였다. 불성실한 응답을 한 설문지를 제외한 251명의 자료를 최종 분석하였다.
연구대상자는 U 광역시 소재 3개 대학의 간호학과 4학년 학생 중 종합병원, 병원 등에서 임상실습을 수행하였고, 본 연구의 목적을 이해하고 서면 동의한 학생을 대상으로 하였다. 대상자 수는 G*power 3.

데이터처리

일반적 특성에 따른 진로정체감 정도의 차이는 t-test, One-way ANOVA, 사후분석은 Scheffé test를 이용하였고, 대상자의 실습소속감, 전공만족도, 직업가치관, 진로정체감 간의 상관관계는 Pearson correlation coefficients로 분석하였다. 간호대학생의 진로정체감에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하기 위해 다중회귀분석을 이용하였다.

이론/모형

실습소속감 측정도구는 Levett-Jones 등(2009a)이 간호대학생을 대상으로 개발한 Belongingness Scale-Clinical Placement Experience (BS-CPE)를 Kim과 Jung (2012)이 한국어로 번안하여 신뢰도와 타당도를 검정한 도구를 사용하였다. 본 도구는 자아존중감 관련 13문항, 유대감 관련 11문항, 자기효능감 관련 10문항 등 총 34문항이며, Likert 5점 척도로 측정하였다.
직업가치관 측정도구는 Han, Lee와 Lee (2006)가 개발한 대학생용 직업가치관척도(work value scale)를 사용하였다. 이 척도는 개인 자신이 중요시하는 직업가치관에 적합한 직업이 무엇인지에 관한 정보를 제공하고, 직업 선택과 경력 설계를 하는데 도움을 주고자 개발한 것으로, 다양한 직업에 따른 중요한 가치 차원을 추출하기 위해 직업가치관 차원을 성취, 봉사, 개별 활동, 직업안정, 변화지향, 몸과 마음의 여유, 영향력 발휘, 지식추구, 애국, 자율, 금전적 보상, 인정, 실내 근무 등 총 13개의 직업가치 요인으로 분류하여 측정한다.

성능/효과

본 연구결과, 실습소속감은 5점 만점에 3.61점으로 나타났다. 이는 호주와 영국에서 3학년 간호대학생을 대상으로 연구한 Levett-Jones, Lathlean, Higgins와 McMillan (2009b)의 3.
45점 순이었다. 전공만족도의 전체 평균평점은 3.87점이었고, 하위영역 점수는 능력발휘 및 취업기회 만족이 4.02점, 학과만족이 3.80점이었다. 직업가치관의 전체 평균평점은 3.
041)이었다. 즉, 실습소속감이 높을수록, 적성에 맞아서 간호학과를 지원한 학생일수록, 실습에 만족할수록, 전공만족도가 높을수록, 실내근무에 직업가치를 높게 둘 수록, 봉사에 직업가치를 높게 둘수록, 졸업 후 병원취업을 희망할수록 진로정체감이 높은 것으로 확인되었고, 이들 변인에 의한 설명력은 40.4%이었다(F=25.24, p<.001)(Table 5).

후속연구

본 연구를 토대로 추후 대상자를 확대하여 진로정체감에 대한 반복연구를 시행할 필요가 있으며 실습소속감과 직업가치관을 높이기 위한 대학과 의료기관 간의 상호협력 프로그램이나 교육과정 개발 연구를 제안하며, 간호대학생의 실습소속감과 직업가치관 개념분석, 측정도구 개발 연구를 제언한다.
