개인의 기업가정신이 창업활성화를 통해 국가의 경제발전에 기여하는 연구는 활발하게 진행되고 있으나, 개인의 만족 또는 삶의 만족과 관련된 연구는 아직 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구는 청년들의 기업가정신이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 정(+)의 영향을 밝히는 동시에 자기효능감과 자기결정성의 매개효과를 검증하고자 한다. 또한 창업지원사업 참여경험의 효과성을 밝히고자 청년(만39세미만) 511명을 대상으로 실증분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기업가정신은 청년들의 삶의 만족도에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 둘째, 자기결정성과 자기효능감은 기업가정신과 삶의 만족도 간 관계를 매개하는 역할을 하였다. 끝으로 창업지원사업 참여경험은 통계적으로 유의한 조절효과가 나타나지 않았다. 본 연구는 기업가정신이 창업성과에 미치는 영향에 있어 삶의 만족도가 주요한 변수로 작용할 수 있는 단서를 제공할 것으로 예상한다. 또한 창업지원사업의 성과를 매출액 및 고용효과 등의 정량적 성과뿐만 아니라, 개인의 삶의 만족도와 같은 정성적인 성과에 대해서도 고려해야 함을 시사하는 바이다.
