Abstract

Random Walk in Fractal was studied by Monte Carlo calculations under various bias field. The responses of the random walk to the constant bias field on the Sierpinski gasket show the anisotropic diffusion for the applied field direction. Crossover from anomalous diffusion to drift was observed in horizontal and upward bias fields while crossover from anomalous to normal diffusion was found in the downward bias field. The random walk under the simulataneous bias field $B^0, B_1 \sin(\omega t)$ on the percolation cluster depends on the amplitude of field $B_0, B_1$ and the applied frequency $\omega$. At small field and high frequency regime the response was linear to the applied field intensity. However, at high field and low frequency we observed the nonlinear response of the random walk. The nonlinear behaviors result from the competing effects of drifts and trapping.
