The purpose of this study is to estimate the strength capacity of concrete-filled steel square tubular column to H-beam connections which are reinforced with inner stiffener with opening in the horizontal loading as earthquakes. The experiment of beam to column subassemblages is modeled in consideration of "strong beam to weak column" modes to investigate strength and deformation capacity of the connections according to the condition of reinforcement. The main parameters of the test are the ratios of opening diameter in stiffener to width of beam flange, and shape, thickness, and opening ratios of stiffener, etc. As the results of the test, concrete-filled specimens have shown stable hysteretic behaviors, and are excellent in strength, and plastic deformation capacity of the panel zone in column connections because of the reinforcement of stiffener and confinement effect of concrete.
