Pilomatricoma is a benign neoplasm which differentiates towards hair cortex cells. Occasionally, calcium deposits and ossification are seen in the stroma close to areas of shadow cells. We report herein a case of pilomatricoma in 24-year-old woman who had suffered from a 1.5x1.0 cm solitary indurated movable nodule on her left forehead for 4 years, because we first suspected it to be primary osteoma cutis. An excisional biopsy was done and revealed shadow cells with broad ossification and calcification.
