This study is to verify various mechanisms and experimental foundations for the plasticity of the central nerve system, to identify various factors affecting the plasticity and the role of electrical stimulation, thus to suggest an effective way of treatment. The factors affecting the plasticity consist of factors such as neuroglia, Nogo, neurotrophic factors, nerve transplant and medication. These factors get involved with the plasticity by many types of mechanisms. With electric stimulation or exercise in particular, they can help the spontaneous recoveries such as manifestation of neurotrophic factors, stimulation of synapse plasticity, improvement of blood circulation in brain, and increase of neuro's survival. They also adjust nerve circuits, influencing various motional neurological mechanisms, and as a result, they can stimulate the plasticity of nerve system. The important point is that if physical therapy was accompanied by non-physical therapeutic methods after well-understanding of their strengths and weaknesses, rather than using only physical therapeutic methods such as electric stimulation or exercise, it could serve patients with a better quality and more effective treatment. In this study, We found that electrical stimulation affect neural plastisity, nerve generation and motor learning.
