본 연구의 목적은 중·고등학교 청소년 선수들을 대상으로 그들이 대인관계에서 경험하는 관계 스트레스 요인 탐색을 통해 청소년 선수들의 관계 스트레스를 이해하는 것이다. 이를 위해 11개 종목의 청소년 선수 200명(중: 84, 고: 116)을 대상으로 개방형 설문지를 실시하여 총 458개의 원자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 원자료는 주제별 범주분석을 통해 빈도분석과 내용분석이 이루어졌다. 분석결과 일반영역 전체 빈도수는 첫째, 선배관계(151/32.9%), 둘째, 지도자관계(110/24%), 셋째, 친구관계, 후배관계 (52/11.3%) 다섯 번째, 동기관계(45/9.8%), 여섯 번째, 선생님관계(32/6.9%), 일곱 번째, 자신(10/2.1%), 여덟 번째, 부모님관계(6/1.3%) 등의 순으로 구분되었으며, 세부영역 전체의 빈도수는 선배관계의 집합(33/7.2%), 눈치(29/6.3), 지도자관계의 권위적 행동, 후배관계의 말썽, 갈등(26/5.6%) 등의 순으로 나타났다.

Participants were two hundred youth sports players, eighty-four from junior-high school and one hundred sixteen form high school, from eleven different sports events. 458 raw data were collected using open-ended questions and were analyzed using frequency analysis and content analysis to identify 8 general categories and 31 sub-categories. According to analysis results, 8 general categories and their frequency and percentage are shown as relationship with senior players(151/32.9%), relationship with coaches(110/24%), relationship with friends(52/11.3%), relationship with junior players(52/11.3%), relationship with co-players(45/9.8%), relationship with school teachers(32/6.9%), relationship with self(10/2.1%), and relationship with parents(6/1.3%). 31 sub-categories and their frequency and percentage are shown as senior players" harsh discipline on junior players(33/72%), psychological pressure on reading and acting according to senior players" mood(29/6.3%), coaches" authoritative attitudes toward players(26/5.6%), troubles caused by junior players(26/5.6%), conflicts in senior-junior relationship(26/5.6%) and more.
