The purpose of this study was to investigate effects of health belief model(HBM) intervention-12week exercise program on exercise participation rate, obesity indices, and metabolic syndrome markers in mid-life women. A total of 85 mid-life women were invited in this study. The subjects were divided two group(HBM-Ex group and Ex group) and performed 12week walking exercise. And HBM intervention was enforced in HBM-Ex group. We investigated the exercise participation rate at 6month after 12week exercise program, and analyzed obesity and metabolic syndrome markers in 85 mid-life women simultaneously. As results, we confirmed that HBM intervention-exercise program have positive effects in the middle intensity-exercise participation rate, obesity indices, and high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDLC) at 6month after 12week exercise program. In conclusion, the current finding of the study suggest that exercise related - HBM intervention in progressing exercise program may have positive effects by the increase of exercise participants rate, obesity, and metabolic syndrome.
