A mounting structure for a wheel mounting assembly such as a caster assembly having a mounting plate. Mounting blocks of viscoelastic rubber-like material are mounted on corners of the mounting plate. Each mounting block includes flanges which define a slot in which an edge portion of the mounting plate is received.
