A food carton is disclosed in the general shape of a tapered tray which includes an integral overlapping top cover portion, an integral divider element and an easy opening tear strip. In its preferred form, the carton is prepared from a one piece blank of paperboard or the like with either glued or interlocked ends located between two tapered side walls.
