A solar heat absorber, generally used in series, induces relatively high temperatures in a liquid or gas medium from the sun\s rays at any angle above the horizon. The absorber consists of a substantially spherical vessel made of a transparent material encasing one or more similar but somewhat smaller vessels, all of which are provided with an opening or neck, the outer one of which overlaps the inner one and is sealed thereto.
