A multilayered, hollow plastic article having a base portion, integral side walls, and an integral open neck or rim portion, said article having an inner first layer of thermoplastic material, and an outer second layer of pressure molded, thermoplastic material, wherein the base portion of the inner first layer is thickened by including a separate and dissimilar member which is a heat absorbing or dissipating member adhered to the base of the inner first layer.
