The invention relates to a powder bleach composition comprising a plurality of particles wherein substantially each of the particles comprises soda ash and sufficient sodium percarbonate to provide about 1 to 6 weight percent available oxygen content. The bleach composition is made by contacting particulate soda ash, either anhydrous sodium carbonate or sodium carbonate monohydrate, with sufficient of a spray of an aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide, the contacting being at a temperature from about 35°C. to about 70°C. to provide the aforedescribed bl...
