초록

A protein which can be an enzyme is immobilized by: (a) admixing the protein and an isocyanate-capped liquid polyurethane prepolymer to form an intermediate product; and (b) foaming the intermediate product by reacting it with water to form a polyurethane foam comprising the immobilized enzyme.

A solution prepared by admixing, in the absence of water, an isocyanate-capped liquid polyurethane prepolymer and a protein, wherein said prepolymer is the reaction product of a polyether polyol with sufficient polyisocyanate to provide at least two free NCO groups per molecule of the prepolymer.
