An automatic weighing machine capable of weighing an object as it passes through said machine, “on-the-fly,”and checking that weight against a predetermined weight value entered thereon, comprises: a transducing means for providing an electric circuit characteristic as a function of bearing weight;

An automatic weighing machine capable of weighing an object as it passes through said machine, “on-the-fly,”and checking that weight against a predetermined weight value entered thereon, comprises: a transducing means for providing an electric circuit characteristic as a function of bearing weight; means associated with said transducing means for feeding said object onto said transducing means; discharge means associated with said transducing means for carrying said object away from said transducing means; means connected with said transducing means for transferring said object across said transducing means; and electric circuit means connected to said transducing means for providing electric power thereto, for continuously monitoring said transducing means electrical circuit characteristic whereby from said monitored characteristic said electric circuit means determines when said object is fully bearing on said transducing means, while being transferred across thereof, and determines the average weight of said object as a function of said continuous monitored characteristic.
