This may be by connecting the conduits into the plug directly or by connecting them into an adapter to be interposed between the engine and the sparkplug, and providing a pre-combustion chamber therebetween. Preferably there is a mixing area upstream of the electrodes. An electrolyzer can be built into the arrangement to generate the pre-combustion gases immediately adjacent the sparkplug.
