Reflectors for indicating, for example, the dividing line between traffic lanes and road edges include an above-the-road housing portion that has a spherical contour rising gradually from the road in all directions. Impact, resistant solid metal shoulders have between them a light channel with divergent side walls and an upwardly and outwardly sloping upper surface.
