A sports wheel chair has elongated side frame members of hollow high strength tubing extending along the two sides of the chair to provide rear wheel and seat support and extending accurately downwardly to provide front wheel supports. The elongation provides a degree of flexibility that permits front end collisions without damage and permits flexure to maintain contact of all four wheels with uneven terrain.
