An aerosol paint system is provided under sprayable pressures in a pre-packaged container adapted for instant spray application. The paint composition comprises a water-soluble monomer modified alkyd resin binder composition having a low molecular weight less than about 10,000 and an acid value (before neutralization) of above about 30 and preferably less than about 80.
