Induction heating means for induction heating a heat-activatable bonding medium present along the margin of an assembly of facing polygonal sheets to cause the sheets to be bonded together, wherein said induction heating means comprises an inductor in the form of a polygonal loop positioned to extend around the edge of such an assembly, each side of said loop being formed by at least one conductor of tubular bar or of rod form, and wherein at least one side of said loop is movable relative to at least one other side of said loop.
