The subject blasting system includes a portable remote controlled detonation system comprising a tone generating pad employed to generate a coded signal received at a blasting site by a receiver decoder detonator to enable detonation to occur by conventional means, also a radio telephone used to encode signal frequencies for use in enabling an explosive detonating device and allowing two way communication.
