An insulating window system is provided wherein a window track is secured on a frame outlining the window. The window track includes a pair of spaced jaws defining between them a channel with a semi-oval cross-section. A glazing frame having a base member with two outwardly extending arms for engaging the inside surface of the jaws, and securing the frame arm to the track.
