A self contained disposable system for animal litter box maintenance includes a rectangular container with flaps which are erected and interconnected with tape to form a high sided litter box. A plurality of layers of absorbent litter are positioned within the box and separated by plastic sheets having borders which are adhered to the sides of the box by releasable adhesive.
