The present invention relates to a casing with fixed and/or movable frames for doors, windows and the like, which has the peculiarity of comprising a self-supporting frame having a perimetral framework with a closed shape provided with sections of profiled elements having a central body defining, on opposite sides, abutment regions for the fixing of the perimetral region of two spaced apart pane-like elements which provide a double-glazing.
