A process for forming a separable laminate container includes the steps of coextruding at least two substantially non-adhering thermoplastic compositions to form a tubular parison having a relatively thick outer layer and a relatively thin inner layer. The parison is subsequently blow molded and trimmed to provide an open-ended container body and an inner liner which is separable along the interior walls of the container body to permit closing and/or sealing of the liner, independent of the container.
