A seat which is used as a passenger seat in a vehicle and which is adapted to assist passengers, particularly elderly and/or handicapped persons, in entering or leaving the vehicle. The seat includes a motorized control which permits the seat to be moved forward or backward, up or down, and to rotate on its vertical axis approximately 90°, as well, to tilt from back to front.
